Loitz House

Built in 1547, the late gothic Loitz House (Kamienica Loitza) belonged to the Loitz family, which had grown rich by trading and at one time was even the personal banker of the Polish royal family. The striking orange building is a good example of the tenements that were built by the wealthy patricians in the 16th century. Located just aside the Castle, it is now home to the Secondary School of Fine Arts.
