Port Gate
The
baroque Port Gate (Brama Portowa) with richly decorated
tops, is historically also known as the Berlin Gate. It was built
between 1725-1727 by order of the Prussian king Frederick Wilhelm
I, after Szczecin was bought by the Prussians from the
Swedes.
A similar gate, the King's Gate or Royal Gate, can be found at pl.
Holdu Pruskiego.
