Tower of Seven Cloaks

The Tower of the Seven Cloaks (Baszta Siedmiu Płaszczy), also referred to as the Maiden's Gate, is captured between the Pomeranian Dukes Castle, the huge highway overpass of the Trasa Zamkowa, and the river side. It is one of the few remaining parts of the cities medieval fortifications.
The bastion originates from the 14th century and was used as a prison until the beginning of the 18th century.
What the seven cloaks have to do with the tower, no one knows.
