Bory Tucholskie National Park
Bory Tucholskie National Park (Park Narodowy Bory
Tucholskie) is located in the southern region of the
Pomeranian Voivodship and is part of the larger Zaborski Landscape
Park. The park consists mostly of pine forests, peatland and
lakes.
The Tuchola Forest is the largest forest in Poland, and is home to
various special species of flora and fauna. Within Bory Tucholskie
you can encounter for instance deer and wild boar, but also the
otter, polecat and wolf lives in the area. Furthermore, the park is
a heaven for bird spotters, as more than 100 bird species are
reported to visit the park.
There are various trials maintained throughout the park, which can
be used for hiking trips of mountainbiking.
