Shopping in Gdansk

Gdansk can be regarded as a true shopper's paradise. In the Old Town you will find many handicraft shops where you can buy local craftswork and the most amazing amber jewelry. This golden coloured beautiful gem is found on the shores of the Baltic Sea and incorporated in necklases, rings, bracelates, rings and artwork. There are plenty of shops selling this jewel, but be aware of fakes! For modern high street shopping there are about half a dozen of shopping malls in the Gdansk area. Madison is located downtown, whereas Manhattan and Galeria Baltyckiej are in Gdansk-Wreszcz. Further north, in Gdynia, a few other malls can be found.
